Festive nights out, hungover brunches and Sunday roasts - I love December. Below are some restaurants i'm excited to visit in the upcoming season.
Nestled in the heart of London, Bob Bob Ricard offers a dining experience that seamlessly blends opulence with culinary excellence. From the moment you step into this iconic restaurant, you are transported into a world of glamour and sophistication.
The atmosphere at Bob Bob Ricard is nothing short of extraordinary. The interior is a masterpiece of Art Deco design, with plush velvet booths, elegant lighting fixtures, and a touch of gold that exudes luxury. The attention to detail in the decor is reflective of the restaurant's commitment to providing an immersive and indulgent dining experience.
With its iconic press for champagne button and an ‘elegant’ dress code, it’s the perfect restaurant for a tipsy and glitzy night out with the girls. The menu serves classic British and French dishes, famous for their beef wellington and their flaming Crème Brulé. My go to, however, is the Lobster Mac and Cheese.
I find this is the perfect night for date night, as it is open late so can accommodate to busy schedules, as well as having a broad menu so there should be something for everyone.
1 Upper James ST, London W1F 9DF
This is my friends and mine favourite restaurants for a girl’s lunch. It is perfectly situated on Chelsea Highstreet, so is ideal for shopping after. It’s likely if you go you will spot a reality television celebrity, as in the night time the bar in the middle of the club acquires a DJ.
The menu at Bluebird Chelsea showcases a diverse array of dishes that cater to both the adventurous foodie and those seeking comforting classics. The commitment to using fresh, seasonal ingredients is evident in every bite. The starters, such as the crispy calamari with chili and lime, set the stage for a culinary journey that is both inventive and satisfying.
Bluebird's main courses are a celebration of British and European flavors, with options ranging from perfectly grilled meats to expertly crafted vegetarian dishes. The roasted sea bass, adorned with a zesty herb dressing, is a standout choice that exemplifies the kitchen's dedication to quality and taste.
350 King’s Rd, London, SW3 5UU
One of the most decorated restaurants in London, is bound to get you in the festive mood. It is considered the hidden gem of Mayfair, with its art-deco inspired interiors. They have an extensive list of cocktails, including Christmas specials.
It is also close to Selfridges, Regent street and Oxford Street to fit any last minute shopping in!
34 Grosvenor Square, S Audley St, London W1K 2HD
After a night out my favourite place to go for brunch to discuss the night before is Hide. The relaxed atmosphere paired with the delicious food and juices, is the perfect thing to settle your stomach. My go to is the matcha with either French toast or eggs royale. However, don’t be surprised if it takes you a while to find the front door! My first time visiting I had to ring them up and say I was stuck outside and they said this was a common occurrence. It really is hidden in Mayfair.
